BrainSpa is testing for ApoE variants as well as other less prevalent variants of susceptibility genes that have been shown to contribute to biological risk. One such loci on chromosome 19 is the apolipoprotein (ApoE) gene epsilon 4 variant which is present in 25% of the population.

SERIAL ASSESSMENTS

EVERY 90-120 DAYS

To stay committed in mid-life, participants need to monitor their progress and assess ongoing results. Progress is measured by comparing current risks and cognitive assessments to participant's baseline measures.  Maintenance of cognition is the ultimate objective and this goal is achieved by reducing risks in mid-life which are detected via clinical lab and physiologic measures. Physiologic measures include weight, BMI and activity while clinical lab measures include metabolic markers.
